Self-isolation Rules lead to airBaltic Carrying Less Passengers in August

In August 2020, the Latvian airline airBaltic carried 137 830 passengers or 9% less comparing to July 2020 from all three Baltic capitals to its network spanning Europe.

Martin Gauss, Chief Executive Officer of airBaltic: “August was the third full month of scheduled operations for airBaltic and perhaps the toughest yet. After a relatively solid July, due to widespread self-isolation requirements, demand for our services once again dropped. Still, we will maintain connectivity for those customers that need to travel and we are sure that demand will increase once the self-isolation rules will be changed.”

During August 2020, airBaltic operated 1 997 flights. The 15-minute flight punctuality indicator for airBaltic during August 2020 reached a level of 97.9%. This means that more than 97 out of every 100 airBaltic flights departed at the planned time or with a delay of no more than 15 minutes.
