«airBaltic» Sets New Passenger Record for November

The Latvian airline airBaltic continues to demonstrate strong performance, setting new records in November for both passenger numbers and load factor. Last month, the airline carried 400 600 passengers across all its bases, marking a 23% increase compared to the same period last year. The load factor also increased to 81.8%, marking a significant year-over-year improvement of 8.5 percentage points.

These results represent the highest November passenger traffic in the airline's history. Additionally, airBaltic operated 3 640 flights from all its bases, reflecting a 5% increase compared to November 2023.

Martin Gauss, President and CEO of airBaltic: “While demand traditionally declines during the winter season, we observed strong passenger numbers across all bases in November. Our focus remains on offering the best global connectivity from the region to destinations worldwide. Throughout the winter season, we plan to launch a total of nine new routes from the Baltic States and have established new codeshare partnerships with globally recognized airlines. These initiatives have driven increased demand, resulting in record-high passenger numbers for a single month and enabling us to continue our growth story.”

This year, airBaltic has carried in total nearly five million passengers, specifically 4 709 900, and has performed 43 200 flights.

airBaltic throughout the winter season plans to launch nine new routes from the Baltics – five from Riga, two from Tallinn, and two from Vilnius. Looking ahead to the upcoming summer season, the airline plans a significant expansion, adding 16 new destinations from the Baltic States – four from Riga, five from Tallinn, and seven from Vilnius. These new routes provide customers with a wide range of travel options, catering to leisure, business, and onward connectivity needs.

airBaltic operates more than 130 routes from Riga, Tallinn, Vilnius, Tampere and, seasonally, Gran Canaria, offering connections to a wide range of destinations in the airline's route network in Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and the Caucasus region.
