On 27th and 28th of July there will take place enjoyable summer event "Home Cafe Days" 2024 in Bauska County! This year, a total of 8 in-house cafes will open their doors to the residents and guests of Bauskas County, allowing them to enjoy, taste and explore the varied menus and activities offered.
As response to the the high demand and positive reviews, every guest of the home cafe will be able to enjoy the flavors of Georgia at the Igo music and art center "Ceplis" again this year, which will be complemented by a concert by the host Igo himself and Georgian musician Shota Adamashvili at the end of both days.

One of the novelties of this year - Home Cafe "Gravendales pienotava" - will offer visitors to taste dishes permeated by the notes of blackcurrant and elder, as well as meadow flowers, while introducing visitrs with the historical story of the building and inviting to a performance of sounds and senses.
In the Home Cafe "Brunavas mālotava", guests will be able to enjoy a special dish - cabbage stewed according to the owner's taste. Along with the enjoyment of flavors, the owner invites you to creative activities for children, which will be interspersed with live music performances.
On the other hand, the Home Cafe "Rundāles ūtasdzirnavas" invites you to taste "soļanka" soup in the taste of the mill, complementing it with fried bread, with the mill's special butter. After the meal, guests are invited to go on a tour of the watermill museum, or use the water equipment - SUP, catamarans or boats (fee according to the museum's price list).
A novelty - "Bērzmuiža Home Cafe" - is also opening its doors to visitors for the first time - inviting you to a varied menu offer, made from products that are originally produced in Bērzmuiža and a few fields further, enjoying the taste in the atmosphere of the historic manor park.
"Liellops Dole" or the Home Cafe in the rest house "Dole" invites you to taste a varied menu of products grown in Latvia, but especially, of course, beef dishes. Also, the guests of this Home Cafe will be entertained by the poetry and music performance of the amateur theater.
The Home Cafe at the "Padegas" farm will allow you to taste dishes that are an integral part of the family during holidays and also in everyday life, using products that are available on the farm itself. In addition to enjoying the food, guests will be invited to participate in the erudition game, as well as to go on a tour of the farm, getting to know its diverse offer.
The Home Cafe "Lāde" will offer its visitors to enjoy the Soviet cultural heritage both in the menu and in the venue of the home cafe itself. The special element of the home cafe is, of course, the tour "The Story of Sweet Brunette" and the tasting of "Sweet Brunette" or "nut" cookies.

As you know, the all-Latvia campaign "Home Cafe Days 2024" will take place from 29th of June to 15th of September. During the campaign, farms, entrepreneurs and enthusiasts of local communities will open their doors to guests, turning into home cafes, giving the opportunity to taste local food and drinks, and enjoy the unique atmosphere and the offered cultural program.
