This April, organizers of the international jazz and world music festival "Rigas Ritmi" will present another special spring concert series in Riga.
On April 5 at the "Splendid Palace" theater venue, American jazz/soul singer China Moses will perform a special concert. The concert will also be the closing concert of the annual international competition of jazz musicians "Riga Jazz Stage 2014".

"Riga Jazz Stage 2014" has also been included on the European Capital of Culture calendar. Meanwhile, on April 26, legendary American jazz guitarist Pat Metheny and his band "Unity Group" will perform a concert at the Riga Congress Building.
Metheny, who has been performing and composing amazing music for several decades, has won 20 "Grammy" awards during his career. The experience of this virtuoso guitarist placed him in the constellation of the most important musicians in the World.
The "Pat Metheny Unity Group" is made up of five well-known musicians – Metheny, Antonio Sanchez (drums), Chris Potter (saxophone), Giulio Carmassi (vocals), and Ben Williams (bass).
During his musical career, Metheny 20 "Grammy" awards in 12 categories, including "Best Rock Instrumental", "Best Contemporary Jazz Recording", "Best Jazz Instrumental Solo", "Best Instrumental Composition". Meanwhile, the "Paul Metheny Group" has won an unprecedented seven consecutive "Grammies" for seven consecutive albums. Metheny himself has spent most of his life on tour, averaging between 120 to 240 shows a year since 1974.
