Yesterday in Trakai the best Lithuanian SPAs were nominated and awarded. The judges of the competition awarded Amber SPA complex of the hotel Vanagupė in Palanga as the best project of the last year. The on-line voting results showed that the best SPA was the Japanese health centre “Idzumi” in Vilnius.
Moreover, six more prizes were awarded during the “SPA Nominations” held for the first time. SPA Vilnius DIA was awarded as the best day SPA and Druskininkai convalescent home Eglė was recognized the best centre offering medical and wellbeing services. In the opinion of the judges, the most up-to-date and the smartest SPA treatment was offered by the wellness institute Femina Bona. The cognitive visits to the SPAs in various countries arranged by the National SPA Association were recognized as the most memorable event of the year.
The publication “Lithuanian Resorts and Holiday Locations” jointly developed and published by the National SPA Association and the National Resorts Association was acknowledged by the judges as the best marketing solution of the year. The program introducing the health centre “Idzumi” was awarded as the most attractive PR event.
The event “SPA nominations” was arranged by the National SPA Association founded two years ago and currently joining 15 Lithuanian companies involved in provision of SPA services. Mr. Lukas Mackevičius, the President of the Association says, that the awards should become a kind of incentive to strive for the maximum quality of the services in modern rapidly growing market.
„It is not good that the use of SPA name is not restricted. This is because there is no legislation in Lithuania regulating the use of the SPA name and determining SPA types. Unfortunately, sometimes even highly doubtful locations believe them to be the providers of SPA services,- explained Mr. L. Mackevičius.
