“Amber Trip” is the major specialised jewellery exhibition in the Baltic States, a significant annual event for the whole jewellery society: professionals and designers, production organisers and practitioners, jewellery companies, and manufacturers of technological machines, devices and equipment. The exhibition will also host the annual exposition of state-of-the-art industrial technologies and modern equipment.

During the event, which will last for four days, you will have an opportunity to learn about the latest trends in this field of industry, see the latest works by world professional jewellers, and purchase or order an exclusive jewellery article or a jewellery stone. This year, founder of a jewellery college in Latvia Olegs Auzers will grant the audience with an opportunity to enjoy beauty of an impressively sized silver sword “Love and Hatred”.

This exhibition is the first opportunity for the Lithuanian audience to enjoy beauty of the world-known St. Petersburg lapidary artists’ collection “Tauromania”. The works of the lapidary artists are united under the theme of Taurus. According to the Eastern Horoscope, Taurus is a symbol of this year. This collection presents 13 unique sculptures.

Edvardas Zumbrickas from Klaipëda (Lithuania) will present the only and very rare collection of pipes; the age of the pipes brought from Austria, the USA, Germany and Italy ranges from 60 to 120 years. Hand-made pipes of exceptional design and precision are manufactured from a very rare high quality mineral eskisehir meerschaum, which is known to all jewellery experts. It is also called Sea-foam – hydrous magnesium silicate. It is one of the rarest natural materials, which had formed millions of years ago from shells and other sediments on the bottom of the sea.

The exhibition will also host the international jewellery competition “For You”. The idea and the aim of the competition are to present the jewellery industry as one of the fields of contemporary art and to promote most fascinating achievements of jewellery artists. Jewellers from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, the Netherlands, Poland, Germany and other countries will present their works created for specific persons. The Jury of the competition will evaluate the artistic value of a jewellery article taking into account main canons of the contemporary art.

As far as our aim to become the capital of the Baltic jewellery industry is concerned, we may say that we have achieved it. Now, Vilnius is the capital of the Baltic region.

“Amber Trip” has found its place on the global cultural map. In order to retain this qualitative and quantitative “expansion” and to present professional and high quality art, we work intensively by searching and inviting to our exhibition various jewellery companies from all over the world. Last year, for example, the results surpassed all our expectations. This year, we are expecting as many visitors and participants as we had last year.
Our aim is to show that a stable growth in a number of participants ensures better quality.

“Amber Trip” is not only a commercial event. It is an interesting and relevant topic for seminars. The most famous jewellery industry representatives from Lithuania, Russia, Germany, Poland, Sweden and Finland will share their vast experience in the field of jewellery. Participants of the seminars will also touch upon jewellery business tendencies in different countries.

One more important event of the exhibition programme is an exclusive clothing and jewellery fashion show “Amber Trip Fashion Show”. Everyone interested in the latest fashion trends is welcome to attend an impressive fiesta, which will take place in the garage of Reval Hotel Lietuva at 8 p.m., 7 March. We aspire to show the audience how jewellery and clothing designers realise the idea of the integrity between clothing and jewellery in their collections. Collections created by Lithuanian and Polish designers will be presented in the show for the fifth year in a row. We hope that this show will reflect the spirit of the event, i.e. the synthesis between clothing and jewellery, as it did last year.

Current global economic situation provokes confusion, distrust and unease. It is clear that we cannot avoid serious consequences; however, we remain optimistic and believe that “beauty will save the world”. Hope you will see the evidence of that at the exhibition.
