A new service is being offered to the tourists both in the Tallinn Airport and on the cruise vessel berth in the Port of Tallinn: each passenger arriving in Tallinn may rent a tablet with limitless 3G Internet. The tablets have useful preinstalled apps to help tourists better understand life of the Estonian capital.
The new iGO24 service includes rent of a small Samsung tablet computer with a built-in audio guide. The trial version of the guide is offered in five languages (Russian, English, German, Finnish and French). In the near future the tablets will also receive an app that indicates various places that might be of interest for travelers: bars, restaurants, clubs, hotels, sights, museums, etc.

“Tourists in every country face the same problems: they need inexpensive Internet and information on where to go and what to see,” says Yevgeny Yakovlev, the project manager and a member of the board of iGOonline. “Our idea is highly original because we discovered how to satisfy both of these needs at once”.
According to him, the price of the service is purely symbolic: one day of tablet rent costs merely 3 euros. For this price tourists will have limitless access to 3G Internet and to all of the preinstalled apps that they normally use every day.
“I think this initiative fits perfectly into the concept of e-state. Estonia has always been at the forefront of such innovative services, and it is not by chance that such a novelty was invented in our country,” adds Yakovlev.
First tablets where issued to tourists in the Tallinn Airport, the service desk is also opened in the cruise terminal in the Port of Tallinn.
