International choir festival-competition „KAUNAS MUSICA RELIGIOSA 2011“ will be on 25th – 27th of February, 2011 in Kaunas.
We invite You to participate in an international choral music festival - competition KAUNAS MUSICA RELIGIOSA 2011. The festival is open to all amateur choirs who sing cappella or with instrumental accompaniment. It is also possible not to participate in the contest, but take part in concerts of the festival. Each choir or ensemble may perform at the Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant and other Christian churches. The main aim of organizers is to promote sacred music performed by choirs. Moreover You will have possibilities to choose recreational sightseeing tours to the most beautiful places of Lithuania. We suggest You take tours to the capital city Vilnius and Trakai castle near it, Pazaislis monastery in Kaunas, open-air folk museum of Rumsiskes, tour to the hill of crosses near Siauliai, geographical centre of Europe, park of soviet sculpture in Druskininkai, recreational programs in Baltic sea area and many other impressive places. Let’s celebrate Resurrection of Christ together, with songs and awakening spring. Various choral programs, characters and styles during competition and concerts will let Us feel real sacral spirit together.
