RIGA FASHION WEEK Expands the Geography of International Designers

From April 7 to 10, the spring edition of RIGA FASHION WEEK will take place, bringing together fashion industry professionals from various parts of the world. This event continues to evolve as an international platform open to new names, fresh ideas, and cross-cultural dialogue in the fashion sphere. This time, six international brands are participating in the program, each offering a multifaceted perspective on contemporary fashion.

This season marks the beginning of a collaboration with the global project “Fashion Scout”, which introduces the world's most promising young designers. Thanks to this partnership, the BERTH brand, founded in London by Hong Kong designer Afa Tang, will debut on RFW runway. She will present a collection inspired by the aesthetics of Japan’s Showa era.

“Participating in RIGA FASHION WEEK is an important step for my brand. Over the past eleven years, we have taken part in various projects, and this season’s show in Riga will be a new experience and an exciting challenge for us. The Latvian audience has excellent taste and a strong sense of style — I am curious to see how my collection will be received here. Everything is organized very professionally, and I am grateful to the Baltic Fashion Federation for their support and attention to every participant. It is a pleasure to be part of such an event,” comments Afa Tang, designer of the BERTH brand.

Each designer’s collection at RFW reflects a unique interpretation of contemporary fashion and trends. The Lithuanian brand Rimgailaite Costume incorporates vintage knitted tablecloths into modern silhouettes, preserving traditional craftsmanship. Szczygiel (Poland) creates minimalist looks from recycled materials, focusing on sustainable design and texture play. Ivo Nikkolo (Estonia) explores the theme of joy in everyday life. ArtisainT by Lena Lumelsky (Belgium) blends timeless silhouettes with bold leather accessories. Novaliss (Spain) examines myths, femininity, and gender boundaries through artistic garments made from upcycled fabrics. These collections not only showcase stylistic diversity but also highlight themes of identity, sustainable design, and personal freedom.

The international segment has already become an integral part of RIGA FASHION WEEK. It brings a variety of themes, cultural perspectives, and design solutions to the program, ensuring that the event remains dynamic, diverse, and truly modern.
