For the First Time in Riga Tourists Can Now Enjoy the Traditional Latvian Grill

ADVERTISING. Our guests will have the opportunity to try the traditional cuisine in Old Riga – the Latvian traditional and locally hunted grilled venisonmeat or the locally fished pike-perch. Meals are prepared over an open fire and are based on ancient Latvian recipes, which the Chef was lucky to find in the outskirts of Kurland. Tour guides and hotel company representatives might enjoy the special "Tasting months" and can taste the old Latvian cuisine with a 65 % special discount.

The Chef has put big effort in the creation of a truly original menu for tourists that are interested in culture and recreation and also want to take back home fond memories of Riga’s uniquely delicious cuisine. Family restaurant ‘’Alibi’’ is the only place in the Old Riga where you can enjoy the traditional Latvian Grill. The first dish is made with selected locally hunted venisonmeat chops, which are cooked on an open fire. Grilled game is served with traditional Latvian potato mash or pee puree. The second dish – grilled pike – perch in butter sauce- just like the first meal also prepared based on old Latvian Recipe.

The whole meal costs respectively 12 and 7 Ls. However, tour guides and hotel representatives who want to please their customers can, via special cooperation offer, guarantee their customers 20% discount. To get acquainted with the new menu, tour guides and hotel representatives are invited to participate in ‘Tasting months’, during which they can enjoy a 65 % discount.

Tasting campaign will take place from December 14 to January 12 in restaurant "Alibi" (Kalēju street 51) from 15.00 to 20.00.
