Escape Guest game launched in Rigā’s Ramer Tower Museum

Earlier this year, an Escape Guest format museum was opened in the historical 13th century Ramer Tower in Riga, offering visitors an exciting medieval-themed real time quest.

Instead of a regular museum visit, visitors will challenged with an interactive quest, where they must put their knowledge and skills to good use to escape the tower. The Escape Quest game itself has been set inside all four floors of the historical tower. In order to successfully escape the tower, participants must solve a series of puzzles, uncover various secrets and look for clues amongst the museum’s medieval exhibitions and artifacts.

The wealthy medieval transit city of Riga was once protected by a defensive wall with 25 towers, of which only two remain to this day – Pulvertornis (Powder Tower) and Rāmera tornis (Ramer Tower). The Latvian War Museum is located inside the Powder Tower, while recently this new museum has been set-up in Ramer Tower.

The co-author of the Ramer Tower Museum Mihails Silovs explains that the museum not only offers and exciting adventure and a mysterious atmosphere, but also allows visitors to get acquainted with the city’s history.

The museum’s exhibition itself is made up of a large collection of ancient artifacts and old mechanical equipment, which the participants will use to complete their quests.

In order to visit the museum and participate in the quest, persons must first apply through the reservation system, which can be found at https://www.facebook.com/iammedieval clicking on the "bookings" section.
