VENTAS RUMBA, THE WIDEST WATERFALL IN EUROPE, TO BE ILLUMINATED

For two nights only, on 15 and 16 March, Kuldīga will witness a unique light show that will illuminate the widest waterfall in Europe, Ventas Rumba.

Ventas Rumba is without a doubt one of the symbols and prides of the town of Kuldīga. Locals say that the waterfall was illuminated once before in the 1960s, but since then it has remained in the dark, which makes this an even more unique opportunity for the citizens and guests of Kuldīga to see the magnificent Ventas Rumba like never before.

The waterfall will be illuminated on two evenings only during Kuldīga Restaurant Week, on 15 and 16 March, from 21:00 until 00:00, with special light shows at 21:00, 21:30, 22:00, 22:30, 23:00 and 23:30.

Another light installation will be set up on the River Alekšupīte’s waterfall, which is not far from the old Kuldīga bridge.

It is expected that the old bridge and the left bank of the River Venta will be the best places for viewing the illuminated Ventas Rumba.

This is truly going to be the perfect weekend combination: surrender to the pleasures of taste at some of the 12 restaurants and cafés participating in Kuldīga Restaurant Week, watch an unprecedented light show on the widest waterfall in Europe, and relax in one of the cosy accommodation options.

Plan out your weekend in Kuldīga in a timely manner!
