From 18 to 21 March, Liepāja municipality will invite you to enjoy a special walking route "Illuminated Liepāja" presenting it as a special gift to the local residents and city guests on Liepāja's 395th birthday.
For four days, every evening, the local residents and city guests will be able to view the illuminated Liepāja and walk the specially designed route of lights and illuminations.

The opening of the "Illuminated Liepāja" walk will take place on Liepāja birthday, March 18, at 19.00 at the concert hall "The Great Amber" following a light show titled "The Secret Life of Light."
Known and recognized light and video artists from Liepāja and Latvia will create illuminated objects with the help of experienced technical equipment support companies, who will be involved in the implementation of the illuminations. As part of the walk, an urban video projection competition will take place in Latvia for the first time; moreover, local city companies and residents will also be invited to participate in the city's illumination.
During the walk, there will be a demonstration of lights and its manifestations in a variety of forms – it will be possible to enjoy both kinetic light objects and building facades illuminated with high-powered light beams, lasers and video projections.
The objects will be illuminated every day from 19.00 until 23.00.

The "Illuminated Liepāja" walk is organised by the Culture Department of the Liepāja city municipality in cooperation with the company "UNTITED originals", which has participated in the implementation of the "Staro Riga" festival of lights and has organised several multimedia illumination projects in different cities of Latvia as well.
