airBaltic Ensures Significant Mail and Cargo Delivery to Latvia

Riga. Last year airBaltic carried 7.5 million kilograms of mail and cargo on their passenger aircraft fleet. This was 31% above airBaltic’s expected cargo results in 2020. The demand for air freight per flight increased and with that airBaltic maintained its status as the largest cargo operator at Riga Airport in Latvia.

Martin Gauss, Chief Executive Officer of airBaltic: “We ensured that people and businesses in Latvia could receive their ordered mail and parcels from different countries, which is even more important in times when shops are closed. The mail and cargo were carried by airBaltic on our regular passenger flights.”

Currently airBaltic performs direct flights from Riga, Tallinn and Vilnius to various European business centres and hubs. A complete schedule of airBaltic flights and tickets for the new destinations are already available on the company's website at www.airbaltic.com.
