An entrance to the Shmakovka Museum at a special price on February 6

On the first Sunday of February, February 6, the ticket price for individual visitors to the Shmakovka Museum in Daugavpils will be only 2.15 EUR. The Museum offers free audio guides in 6 languages – Latvian, Latgalian, Russian, English, Lithuanian and German, as well as guided tours.

On February 6, the Shmakovka Museum will be open from 11:00 to 19:00. In accordance with the order of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Shmakovka Museum accepts visitors only by appointment with a valid Covid-19 certificate confirming the fact of vaccination or illness, observing physical distance and epidemiological safety measures. 15 people can be in the museum at the same time. Shmakovka Museum in Daugavpils is the largest museum in Latvia, which tells about the culinary heritage of Latgale. Museum visitors can learn about the process of making shmakovka using modern technologies, see original production equipment, get acquainted with the culture and history of Daugavpils and Latgale, as well as purchase various souvenirs with museum symbols and receive free information materials.

We ask visitors to be attentive to their own health and not to visit the museum if they have symptoms of COVID-19 infection or during self-isolation.
