In August 2021, Jūrmala State City Municipality completed the reconstruction and restoration of Ķemeri Park.
The park’s network of walking paths, bridges over the Vēršupīte, and park pavilions have been rebuilt and renovated, the banks of Vēršupīte have been strengthened, streets have been rebuilt and renovated, parking places and bicycle racks have been built, lighting and CCTV cameras have been installed for visitor safety. The park’s greenery was landscaped, with trees and decorative plants planted and benches placed in the park for visitors’ convenience.
Visitors can access the water tower free of charge. It will be open until 31 October from 10 AM to 6 PM every day. The tower’s 42-metre-high top platform offers an observation deck from which you can view the beautiful surroundings of Ķemeri. The water tower can accommodate up to 15 people at a time, while the rooftop observation platform can accommodate up to five people, so visitors may have to wait to enter the tower in the evenings and on weekends. In adverse weather conditions (strong wind, rain, thunderstorm) the rooftop observation platform is closed to visitors. More information about tower here.
Please be informed that starting from October 11 visiting the site is only available for persons holding a certificate on vaccination or recovery in paper or digital form. While visiting the site it is necessary to hold the 2 meters distance and use a facial mask.
