Riga. Today the Latvian airline airBaltic launched its first direct flight from Riga to Gran Canaria in Spain. It is already the second airBaltic’s route to Canary Islands, providing a well-known, attractive leisure destination to one of the most visited islands right after Tenerife.
Martin Gauss, Chief Executive Officer at airBaltic: “Adding Gran Canaria to our route network expands airBaltic’s offering for the upcoming winter season. It is the kind of place, where people willingly choose to spend the cold months. We are glad to connect Latvia to another sunny, exciting and well-demanded destination in addition to Tenerife, which was launched last year and has demonstrated outstanding results of demand.”
