LVRA Board Members Receive Prestigious «Tourism Person of the Year 2024» Awards

On February 8, 2024, during the "Balttour 2025" International Tourism Exhibition, the prestigious "Tourism Person of the Year 2024" awards were presented, recognizing the outstanding contributions of professionals in Latvia’s tourism sector.

Out of six categories, two awards were received by board members of the Latvian Hotel and Restaurant Association (LVRA).

•    Ruslans Jamčinskis, General Manager of Hotel Monika Centrum, was honored in the "Entrepreneur/Leader in the Hospitality Sector" category.

•    Rita Auziņa, Chairwoman of the Board of A/S LIDO, was awarded in the "Entrepreneur/Leader in the Restaurant Business" category.

The "Tourism Person of the Year" award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the development, promotion, and advocacy of Latvia’s tourism industry. Winners are distinguished leaders in their respective fields, setting high standards and serving as role models for others in the industry.

Award-Winner Reflections

Upon receiving the award, Ruslans Jamčinskis expressed his gratitude:
