Bauska is one of the country's fishing capitals, and on April 20, the right bank of the Mūsa River (Krasta Street, near Bauska Stadium) will host the seventh "Vimba Festival." This annual event unites participants of the Goodwill Fishing Contest, nature lovers, and this year—Easter celebrators from all over Latvia and abroad!
The festival’s slogan, "It's good to be in nature!", encourages visitors not only to enjoy nature’s abundance but also to learn how to use its resources sustainably. Through educational activities, hands-on workshops, and insights from experienced experts, we will explore how to be respectful guests on nature trails, near water bodies, and beyond—while discovering simple habits that help us become better friends to nature.

A full day of activities:
From 11:00 AM, visitors can enjoy concerts by renowned Latvian musicians, educational and creative activities, and shop at the local producers’ market. The legendary folk-rock band Iļģi will bring Easter festivities to life with the sounds of folk music, while the atmospheric band Idille will fill the riverside with harmonious melodies. Throughout the day, freelance artist and DJ Madkais Mārtiņš will entertain the audience with music played from a tape recorder. This year, the festival’s host baton will be passed to actor and passionate fisherman Jānis Āmanis.
