On Easter Monday, April 21, a grand and exciting event will take place in Dienvidkurzeme – “The Great Dienvidkurzeme Easter Festival” – bringing joy to both locals and visitors while welcoming spring and celebrating the most festive holiday of the season – Easter.

The event kicks off in Pāvilosta, where, starting at 9:00 AM, colorful and vibrant tourism rally teams will begin to arrive, preparing to set off on the rally routes at 10:00 AM. Participants will complete exciting challenges at various local businesses, while Captain Reinis and local amateur art groups will entertain the crowd.
For those not planning to get behind the wheel, there will be a chance to rediscover Dienvidkurzeme through specially designed Easter walking routes with interactive tasks. These routes will pass through 24 different locations in the region: Aizpute, Bārta, Bunka, Cīrava, Dubeņi, Dunalka, Durbe, Gramzda, Grobiņa, Gavieze, Kalēti, Kalvene, Kapsēde, Kazdanga, Lieģi, Nīca, Otaņķi, Pāvilosta, Priekule, Rucava, Vaiņode, Vērgale, Virga, and Vībiņi.

The festival will conclude at Grobiņa Castle Ruins, where rally participants will be welcomed, an awards ceremony will take place, and the popular band “Olas” will take the stage for an unforgettable grand finale, filling the atmosphere with festive energy for the year ahead.
The event promises unforgettable experiences, combining sports activities, cultural traditions, and the warm hospitality of Dienvidkurzeme. Visitors will have the chance to meet local entrepreneurs, explore the region, and fully embrace the joyful spirit of spring.
