Organisers have also announced that only 50 tickets remain for the closing concert on Sunday, 27 July. This is the final opportunity to be part of the most anticipated musical event of the summer.
Serj Miller is a performer with a rich musical biography and a celebrated songwriter whose hits have been performed by leading pop stars, including in Ukraine. He began his career as the frontman of the rock band KRUGERS, performing at major festivals and sharing the stage with global legends. The band’s music videos were broadcast on major music channels across several countries.
After the group disbanded, Serj turned his focus to songwriting and quickly rose to prominence. When the war in Ukraine began, he ceased all collaboration with the Russian entertainment industry, relocating first to Latvia and later to Norway, where he fully embraced his solo career. His song “Tantsuy”, performed as a duet by Laima Vaikule and Shura from Bi-2, became a turning point — opening the door for his appearance on the Laima Rendezvous stage.
“I’m deeply grateful to Laima Vaikule for supporting Ukraine and Ukrainian artists, myself included. I’ve always admired her performances, her unique style, her instantly recognisable voice, her elegance and true bohemian charisma. It’s a great honour that my song became part of her repertoire. This collaboration gave me the opportunity to perform at Laima Rendezvous Jūrmala — a very important step in my solo journey,” the artist said in an interview.
Gio Pika is a charismatic artist from Tbilisi, representing a new wave of urban chanson — a fusion of rhythmic spoken word and modern beats. With six studio albums and dozens of songs behind him, his performances are powerful and memorable. His signature style is the voice of the streets: a raw, honest portrayal of life that resonates with listeners across generations.
Recently, a documentary film about the creation of Gio Pika’s new show premiered at a cinema in Riga. The film was produced by a Latvian team, including director Yegor Zharikov, tour manager Eriks Ruzavins and cinematographer Maksimilian Kreslov, symbolising cross-cultural artistic collaboration.
Laima Rendezvous Jūrmala is one of Latvia’s most beloved music festivals - an annual event dedicated exclusively to live performance, artistic excellence and an atmosphere where glamour meets authenticity. Every act is accompanied by a live orchestra, and the programme spans genres and generations.
