Ventspils Swimming Pool invites you to relax and improve your health in the new salt room at Water Amusement and SPA Complex of Ventspils Swimming Pool.

Starting from February, you can enjoy a 15–20 min salt therapy (halotherapy) session on weekdays at 10.00 am and 11.00 am. As the salt room can accommodate up to 6 persons, please apply for a visit calling 636 23974.

Salt room is a room, in which walls, ceiling and floor is coated with a special layer of salt. Salt room therapy helps the body to renew and get rid of impurities, remove stress and fatigue, improve skin texture and immune system as well as to regulate metabolism naturally. Sitting in salt room is recommended to treat respiratory and lung diseases, diseases of the skin, and professional diseases caused by unhealthy working conditions. Salt room therapy is good for smokers, people working in dusty or badly ventilated premises or rooms with air conditioners and dry air. Halotherapy is recommended to children suffering from low immunity, diathesis, allergies, bronchial asthma, etc. Recommended treatment time is 15–20 minutes. One session costs LVL 1.00.

Reconstruction of Ventspils Swimming Pool was completed at the end of 2009. As a result, Ventspils can offer athletes and inhabitants wider relaxation, active leisure and sporting opportunities during the cold season.
