Bibliotēka N°1 is the only Baltic restaurant to repeatedly win the Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator

The wine list of BIBLIOTĒKA N°1 Restorāns has won Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence for the third year in a row. No other restaurant in the Baltics has been rated as high, and there are just a few restaurants in Eastern Europe to win the distinction.

"Geographically, we have covered the entire Italy, from Alto Adige in the north to Sicily in the south. At the moment, the wine list includes some 300 wines. All have earned high or excellent marks from experts. Now we have decided to give our guests the opportunity to acquaint themselves with the style of New World wines. In the meantime, we continue to accumulate a collection of Bordeaux, Alsace, and Burgundy wines in our cellar," says the lead sommelier Ivo Orlovs.

BIBLIOTĒKA N°1 Restorāns is located in Vērmane Garden in the centre of Riga, named after Anna Gertrud Wöhrmann who sponsored the construction of the park. Vērmane Garden is the second oldest park in Riga (created at the beginning of the 19th century), a green oasis, open-air fair, and a meeting place popular with adults and children alike.
