This is 810th anniversary year for Cesis, so every month of 2016 Cesis is going to be full of colourful events for couples, friends and whole family. To get some impression about the ways how do people in Cesis celebrate and welcome guests have a look to event descriptions.

15.07.- 06.08. Cesis Contemporary Art festival

A rich program featuring a diverse range of art forms included classical music concerts, visual art exhibitions, opera and drama performances – that is Cesis art festival. Event plays significant role in Latvian culture, is known in Europe. 

22.07. – 24.07. Town Festival "Cēsis 810"

Cēsis celebrates its 810th anniversary with lively attractions, games, concerts, performances, ethno-festival, dances, market of traditional snacks and handicrafts and impressive fireworks. It is colourful carousel of joy and happiness for everyone. 

30.07.-31.07.Medieval festival in Cēsis Castle Complex

Cesis Castle Complex will turn into gates of history, and every visitor has the opportunity to enjoy historic traditions and to compete, wrestle, learn and try varied different medieval activities hand in hand with merchants, craftsmen, peasants,and musicians of the medieval times. The main topic of festival in 2016 is childhood in the medieval times.
