Paris. This week, the Latvian airline airBaltic is participating in Paris Blockchain Week 2023, which takes place in Paris, France on March 20-24, 2023.

During the event, Martin Gauss participated in a panel discussion on brands leading change in Web3. The panel was moderated by Executive Fellow at Harward Business School, and among other panelists were Founder at Partouche Multiverse, Chief Brand Officer and Deputy CEO at Paris Saint-Germain and its foundation, as well as VP Innovation, Lead Metaverse and Web3 at AXA. Furthermore, airBaltic’s Web3 Project Lead Artūrs Garais took part in another panel discussion on how brands are leveraging NFTs.
airBaltic is well known as an airline of innovation among global carriers. Since 2014, airBaltic is the first airline in the world accepting Bitcoin and other crypto currencies to purchase flight tickets. Later in 2021, airBaltic became the first airline globally to issue non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
The airline’s second NFT collection Planies are a special cartoon aircraft design collection of 10 000 one-of-a-kind collectibles stored on the Ethereum blockchain. Powered by airBaltic, every joyful Planie is a unique artwork generated from 180 different traits, such as wings, engines, a mouth, eyes and many more.
