Third Year in a Row – airBaltic Recognized as the Region’s Leading Airline 2024 by Skytrax

London. International air transport rating organization Skytrax has named the Latvian airline airBaltic the winner of the Best Airline in Eastern Europe 2024 award for the third consecutive year. Furthermore, airBaltic also led the region by receiving Best Low-Cost Airline and Best Cabin Crew awards. The awards were presented during a special ceremony at the World Airline Awards in London, United Kingdom.

Martin Gauss, President and CEO of airBaltic: “At airBaltic, we believe consistent work to improve and innovate is a necessity in a modern, competitive market. Our team's incredible dedication and motivation are what drive us forward, and we are grateful for the trust that our passengers have placed in us and to Skytrax for such international recognition of our efforts for the third year in a row. On behalf of the whole airBaltic team, it is a great honour to accept these awards.”

Edward Plaisted, CEO of Skytrax said: "We congratulate airBaltic on winning this award as the Best Airline in Eastern Europe for the third time. This achievement in 2024 reflects the popularity of the airline amongst customers who clearly appreciate the high levels of service quality and excellent travel experience delivered across the airBaltic network."

According to Skytrax, over 100 customer nationalities participated in the 2023/2024 survey with 21.42 million eligible entries counted in the results. The award results are available here: https://www.worldairlineawards.com/best-airlines-2024-by-region/.

Introduced in 1999, the World Airline Awards are wholly independent and impartial to provide a customer satisfaction study that is truly global. Travellers across the world vote in the largest airline passenger satisfaction survey to determine the award winners. The awards are referred to around the world as the Oscars of the aviation industry.

airBaltic operates more than 130 routes from Riga, Tallinn, Vilnius, Tampere and, seasonally, Gran Canaria, offering connections to a wide range of destinations in the airline's route network in Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and the Caucasus region.
