 «airBaltic» to Launch a Direct Riga-Rzeszów Route

Starting November 8, 2024, the Latvian national airline airBaltic will launch a new direct route connecting Riga with Rzeszów, Poland, offering enhanced travel options for passengers in the region. The new route will offer convenient onward connections from Riga to key destinations across Europe, making it the ideal travel solution especially for Ukrainian passengers traveling via Poland to the Baltic States and beyond.

With Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport being the closest Polish airport to the Ukrainian border, this new route provides Ukrainian travelers with a seamless and efficient way to access airBaltic's extensive European network. Through a short, comfortable journey from Rzeszów to Riga, passengers can access popular destinations like Vilnius, Tallinn, Oslo, Helsinki, Copenhagen, Stockholm, and many more, facilitating both leisure and business travel across the region.

Travelers can book one-way flights from Riga on this new route starting from €34 for Economy Class.

For those traveling from Ukraine, direct buses and trains offer convenient access to Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport:

Direct Buses: Buses from Kyiv, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, and other Ukrainian cities run directly to Rzeszów’s city center and the airport. Schedule, fares, and ticket availability can be checked on InfoBus or Tickets.ua.

Train Connections: Ukrainian citizens can travel by night and intercity trains from major cities, including Kyiv, Lviv, and Odessa, to Przemyśl in Poland. From Przemyśl, regular trains connect to Rzeszów. Train tickets can be booked in advance via the official Ukrzaliznytsia app or on the PKP Intercity website.

Once in Rzeszów, the airport is easily accessible by local transport, with a bus service (Lines 51 and 53) that operates between the city center and the airport, offering a 35-minute transfer. For more information on transit options, visit ZTM Rzeszów’s official site.

airBaltic operates more than 130 routes from Riga, Tallinn, Vilnius, Tampere and, seasonally, Gran Canaria, offering connections to a wide range of destinations in the airline's route network in Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and the Caucasus region. A complete schedule of airBaltic flights and tickets are available on the company's homepage at www.airbaltic.com
