The airBaltic Technical Academy Mechanics Program is a career advancement opportunity for individuals with technical skills who want to grow in aviation maintenance. This four-year program, conducted at airBaltic's Technical Department in RIX Riga Airport, offers a unique work-and-learn model with a full salary. From day one, participants are employed by airBaltic, dedicating three years to becoming aircraft mechanics while working towards EASA Part-66 certification. They will also receive Airbus A220-300 type training and on-the-job practical experience. The program prepares high-quality aircraft maintenance technicians in either category B1 (mechanical) or B2 (electrical and electronic systems), culminating in certification as an airBaltic certifying circraft technician.
With facilities in Riga and Liepāja, the academy supports airBaltic's goal of recruiting and training nearly 400 new aviation maintenance professionals by 2030. Offering three specialized programs, the Technical Academy provides free education, opportunities to combine work and study, and guaranteed employment in a highly skilled profession.
