To enable young people travelling in the Baltic countries and to strengthen links between universities in Latvian, Latvian Student Association and the low-cost bus line Simple Express announces student competition "Spring Squeezing 2010”. Universities teams will make a unique record trying to get as many students as possible into the bus without damaging it. The best team will receive free tickets for travel by choice - to Warsaw, Kaunas, or Tallinn.
For competition teams may apply till 21. april, while the race will be in the 23rd April in Riga. Minimum number of participants for one team is 55 students including team captain.
"Students are those who throughout history have been able to find the most effective means of travel. This is in line with the Express Simple concept - always offer the best price. Facebook generation is characterized by numerous contacts abroad, that is way young people want to travel and are willing to give up two movie tickets to go to Tallinn, Kaunas, or Warsaw," explains Simple Express representative Hannes Saarpuu.
Assessing the contest, LSA president Edgars Bērziņš admits: "Contests during which students are given the opportunity in an attractive way to check the forces encourage competitive the spirit, which is especially important in today's economic environment. The main prize - the opportunity to go travel to Kaunas, Warsaw or Tallinn will be a great opportunity for students to view the nearby national capital city and learn about their culture".
To apply to competition team captain has to send an application by e-mail address: [email protected]. The application must specify information about the university, faculty, team name, team captain name and contact information (phone, e-mail).
