airBaltic to help stranded Star1 passengers

The Latvian airline airBaltic will help the Star1 passengers stranded at their network points by offering them the lowest prices to fly back to Lithuania.

Tero Taskila, Chief Commercial Officer of airBaltic: ”Finland, Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania are airBaltic`s home markets, and, naturally, we want to help the people who are suffering due to the arrest of Star1 aircraft and to offer them the lowest airBaltic fares to Vilnius, Kaunas, and Palanga. We are now in touch with the Star1 management to offer assistance.”

According to media, the only aircraft of Star1 has been arrested at the Dublin airport, and their passengers are unable to go back home to Lithuania from airports such as Dublin, London and Milan. The stranded Star1 passengers are invited to contact airBaltic and present a valid Star1 ticket, in order to obtain the lowest available ticket prices.

airBaltic serves 80 destinations from its home base in Riga, Latvia. From every one of these, airBaltic offers convenient connections via North Hub Riga to its network spanning Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, CIS and the Middle East.
