As the 50th anniversary of the first manned flight into outer space is approaching, airBaltic will have live webcast from the International Space Station at 11:50 AM today (Riga time) - 09.03.2011. Since October 7, astronaut Aleksandr Kaleri, who was born in the Latvian town of Jūrmala, is in command of the station, and will speak to fans around the world.
The live webcast will start at 11:50 on the airBaltic blog blog.airbaltic.com . Anyone around the world can tune in, including viewers at airBaltic’s 80 destinations in Europe, Russia, the CIS and the Middle East. airBaltic fans were able to post questions and vote for the best ones on airBaltic Facebook page. Top 10 of their questions have been posted to Commander Kaleri for answers during the webcast.
Latvian national airline airBaltic, Latvian Television, the Pauls Stradiņš Museum of the History of Medicine are the partners behind the webcast.
