Latvia’s national airline airBaltic has signed a cooperation agreement with the international tour operator Tez Tour Latvija on the execution of charter flights to Turkey, Greece and Bulgaria during the summer season. The first charter flight from Riga to the city of Antalya in Turkey will be launched today, April 12. Charter flights to Greece will begin on May 6, and to Bulgaria from June 1.
Overall, there will be more than 100 flights operated from Riga to leisure resorts. Flights to the Turkish resort of Antalya will be performed 3 times a week, to Greece (Heraklion) and Bulgaria (Burgas) - once a week. In total, Tez Tour Latvija will carry out charter flights in cooperation with airBaltic five times a week, indicating that the situation in the tourism sector has not only stabilized, but is actually improving, since the number of charter flights per week is now the same as two years ago.

This summer season airBaltic has also increased the number of regular flights thus improving the airline’s service to both local passengers and those travelling in transit via Riga to/from 60 destinations in Europe, the Middle East, Russia and CIS. The summer schedule of flights also features a number of destinations coming back, including Venice, Athens, Budapest, Nice, Dublin, Chisinau, along with other cities on the Mediterranean, Caspian and Black Sea coast.
