airBaltic Achieves Record Punctuality in June

In June 2012, Latvian airline airBaltic operated 4,368 flights, or 21% less than in June 2011 when airBaltic 5,506 flights.

The airline carried 298,350 passengers in June. During the first half of 2012, airBaltic transported a total of 1,410,490 passengers.

In June 2012, the airline’s load factor, which represents the number of passengers as a proportion of the number of available seats, was at a level of 76%. In the first half of 2012, the airline achieved a 1 percentage point improvement of load factor to 72%, compared to the same period a year earlier.

The 15-minutes flight punctuality indicator for airBaltic was at a level of 92.3% in June 2012. This indicates that 92 of every 100 airBaltic flights in June departed at the time planned or with a delay of no more than 15 minutes. In terms of punctuality, this is the best June since airBaltic started publishing its punctuality data five years ago. airBaltic has been awarded best in continental Europe among regional airlines for arrival punctuality in 2011 by FlightStats analysts.
