On 21 September new Lithuanian airline Air Lituanica launched the new route from Vilnius to Munich. Munich and Vilnius by the air transport was connected three years ago, so the flight resume is very important for both countries cooperation.

Furthermore, the continuously increasing numbers of Munich Airport transfer passengers confirms airport undiminished popularity as Europe’s most preferred hub to more than 200 destinations worldwide. ‚Due to the guaranteed minimum transfer time of just 35 minutes, however, some passengers do not get the chance to enjoy the special flair of our airport with its total of 160 shops and 40 restaurants – including the world’s only airport brewery,’ says the Chairman of the Management Board of Flughafen München GmbH .
‘Until now the aerial transportation to Southern Germany was underdeveloped and Munich Airport is one of the largest airports in the entire Germany. Moreover, it is striving to become one of the busiest airports in Europe,’ says the CCO of Air Lituanica Simonas Bartkus.
According to the executive, Munich is an exceptionally important art, business and technological hub of interest to both corporate clients and leisure travelers seeking for more convenient ways to reach various skiing destinations in the great mountain range system of Alps.
Air Lituanica flights between the Munich Airport and Vilnius International Airport will be carried out three times per week: on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The company‘s aircraft will take off from Vilnius at 9:50 am and the flight will last for 1 hour 50 minutes. It will leave Munich on its journey back at 12:10 pm and reach Vilnius after 2 hours.
The flights to and from Munich will be operated with the second Air Lituanica aircraft Embraer 175 accommodating 86 passengers. A single ticket from Munich to Vilnius will cost from EUR 69.
