Traditional International Rowing Festival „In Memory Of The Amber Way„ devoted to popularize active leisure in nature on water and rowing, 07-09 of August 2015.

The Viking boat tour "Amber way"

Distance is 50 km. Start is in Nemajunai at 12.00 a.m. near the water-level measuring station and finish is in Birstonas near the Mound of Vytautas. Participants can rest every 10 km 15 min max in the designated areas (Trakeliai, Muliskes, Giraitiskes, Tartokai). Boats:

- 16 seats oar-boats (14 rowers, 1 steerman, 1 drummer-flagwaver). Team: 16 people (no age or gender restrictions).
- 10 seats oar-boats (8 rowers, 1 steerman, 1 drummer-flagwaver). Team: 10 people (no age or gender restrictions).
- dragonboats (20 rowers, 1 steerman, 1 drummer). Team: 22 people (no age or gender restrictions).

Kayak and kanoe tour

a tour by the river Verkne „Vydzionys-Birstonas“. Distance is  25 km. Start - in Pikelionys at 12.00 a.m. and finish is in Birstonas near the Mound of Vytautas. 

Boats: touring 2-seat kayaks and 2-seat canoes. There is no age or gender restrictions for the team members.

19:00 Awards ceremony for winners of the trips (at the event-stage in Birstonas).

Verkne Regatta

Distance is 20 km. Start is in Verbyliskes at the intersection of the Verkne river and the road Vilnius-Prienai and finish is near the Mound of Vytautas in Birstonas.

Boats: touring 2-seat kayaks and 2-seat canoes. There is no age or gender restrictions for the team members.

Starts:
13:00 Touring 2-seat canoes
13:10 Touring 2-seat kayaks

Race in the Nemunas river (long distances)

Distance is 10 km. Start is in Prienai at the bridge and finish is near the Mound of Vytautas in Birstonas.

15:00 Royal Regatta of Vikings

Boats: 16 seats oar-boats (14 rowers, 1 steerman, 1 drummer-flagwaver). Team: 16 people (no age or gender restrictions).
Boats: 10 seats oar-boats (8 rowers, 1 steerman, 1 drummer-flagwaver). Team: 10 people (no age or gender restrictions).

15:15 Dragon Regatta

Boats: 22-seat dragons (20 rowers, 1 steerman, 1 drummer). There is no age or gender restrictions for the team members.

17.30  Grass-skiing race at the event stage in Birstonas.
18:00  1000m rowing event with "Concept 2" rowing machines at the event stage in Birstonas.
19:00 Awards ceremony for participants of the day, musicDisco, karaoke.

2015/08/09 Sunday

Sprint race in the Nemunas river in Birstonas

Distance is 500 m. Start is near the ship "Vytenis" and finish is near the event stage.

Starts:
11:00 Touring 2-seat kayaks.
11:10 Touring 2-seat canoes.
11:20 Dragon boats (20+1+1).

Distance is 1000 m. Start is near the Zverincius forest and finish is  near the event stage.

11:30 Viking snake boats (14+1+1).
11:40 Viking snake boats (8+1+1).

There is no age or gender restriction for the team members in all sprint races.

12.00 Swimming race (200 m)
12:30 Awards ceremony for the winners of the day, closing of the festival in Birstonas at the event stage.
You can participate with your own boats or you can rent it from organizators.
