On October 11, from 10.00-16.00, Kalnciema Quarter in the Latvian capital city Riga will feature a harvest market, where farmers and craftsmen will gather to offer their produce. Local farmers will sell fresh harvest, preserved seasonal goods, jams from hand-picked berries, homemade wines and other goods, including watermelons grown here, in Latvia. Craftsmen will be offering hand-made knitwear and other unique objects.
From 11.00-15.00, in the framework of "International Babywearing Week", young parents and their children will be able to rest from the hustle and bustle of the market in the exhibition gallery of Kalnciema Quarter. There will be professionals available for consultations on babywearing as well.
A creative workshop will also be available for anyone willing to test their skill and imagination. Designer Madara Peipiņa will teach how to make a notebook from simple materials. You can either pay 2 euros, or bring your own supplies, such as paper, cardboard and fabric.
