By the end of November, the number of passengers at the Riga Airport exceeded 6.1 million

In this November, Riga Airport has served 471 thousand travellers, thus the number of passengers since the beginning of the year has exceeded the 6.1 million mark, according to the operational data on the Airport's performance indicators. Taking into account the traffic forecast for December, by the end of the year Riga Airport could serve 6.6 million passengers, which is 1.3 million more than a year ago.

In November, 93.4 thousand passengers (+7 % compared to 2022) used Riga Airport as a connecting airport for further flights, while 377.3 thousand (+9 % compared to 2022) — for direct flights.

During this month, 4,635 passengers, cargo and other flights were served (+6 % compared to November 2022), while the average passenger occupancy rate was over 70 %, similar to November last year. In November, the most popular passenger destinations were London, Helsinki, Oslo, Tallinn and Frankfurt.

56 % or 265.7 thousand passengers travelled with the national airline "airBaltic", while the Irish low-cost airline "Ryanair" carried 25 % of passengers — almost 119 thousand travellers. In terms of the number of served flights, "airBaltic" also ranks first with 2759 served flights, and "Ryanair" second with 712 flights to and from Riga Airport in November.
