«airBaltic» Launches Two New Destinations from Vilnius

The Latvian airline airBaltic is pleased to announce the launch of the winter season 2024, introducing two new destinations from Vilnius, Lithuania. Starting as of October, the airline will offer new routes to Dusseldorf, Germany and Oslo Torp, Norway. The first flight from Vilnius to Dusseldorf was celebrated today along with representatives from Lithuanian Airports and airBaltic.

Thomas Ramdahl, SVP Network Management at airBaltic: “We are dedicated to continuing our growth in Vilnius and strengthening our position as the connectivity backbone for Lithuania. The new destinations to Dusseldorf and Oslo Torp will cater to a variety customers’ travel options, including city-break getaways, nature exploration, and business trips. Additionally, we recently announced plans to launch seven new destinations from Vilnius for the upcoming summer season – the highest number of new routes we have ever introduced in a single season from Lithuanian capital.”

“We are grateful to our passengers for choosing airBaltic and Lithuanian Airports for their cooperation in making this expansion possible," Ramdahl added.

Tomas Zitikis, Head of Route Development Department at Lithuanian Airports: “Dusseldorf is one of Germany's most important economic centres, so a direct link between Vilnius and this city will significantly contribute to strengthening cooperation between the two countries. This route will not only provide more opportunities for passengers, but is also in line with our strategic objective to develop connections with Germany. We are delighted to offer another quality connection, which is important for business and travellers alike.”

During winter season 2024, airBaltic operates 14 direct routes from Vilnius to various European destinations and offers one-stop connections to more than 80 destinations across the Europe through its home base in Riga, Latvia. Furthermore, airBaltic has announced plans to launch seven new destinations for the upcoming summer season from Vilnius to Chisianu (Moldova), Ibiza (Spain), Prague (Czech Republic), Rhodes (Greece), Tirana (Albania), Tel Aviv (Israel), and Valencia (Spain).

Additionally, earlier this week airBaltic launched winter season 2024 from Riga to Hurghada (Egypt), Innsbruck (Austria), Madeira (Portugal), Rzeszow (Poland), and Sharm El Sheikh (Egypt).

airBaltic offers both Economy and Business Class on all its flights. Business Class passengers can enjoy a comprehensive full-service package, including priority check-in and boarding, a front-of-cabin seat with a free seat for added privacy, a gourmet meal, variety of beverages, and quicker disembarking upon arrival.

airBaltic operates more than 130 routes from Riga, Tallinn, Vilnius, Tampere and, seasonally, Gran Canaria offering connections to a wide range of destinations in the airline's route network in Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and the Caucasus region.
