Latvian airline airBaltic reports that in 2021 a total of 320 000 passenger segments were booked using mobile devices. Share of mobile bookings has increased from 23% before the pandemic to 28% today, at some moments reaching even 35%.
Eva Plakane, SVP Revenue Management of airBaltic: “A growing proportion of customers using their mobile devices for searching and booking flight tickets has been an ongoing trend for a couple of years now. To maintain our high level of service, we continue to improve the mobile friendly services we provide and last year also introduced a brand new option to order on board items from a mobile device.”

10% of all mobile bookings have been made using the airBaltic Club mobile app. In 2021, share of mobile visits to company’s website had grown to 59%, in comparison to 51% two years before.
