“Tavi draugi” calls November “Friendship Candle Month” and invites Latvians to participate in the action - to make candles for the trenches to be delivered to Ukraine. Workshops will be held every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday in November at Ventspils iela 50 Riga. The campaign is scheduled to run until February 2023.
As part of the campaign, everyone is invited to make candles. Visitors to the candle workshops are invited to bring all the necessary raw materials; if these aren’t available, “Tavi draugi” will provide everything needed to make the candles.

The candle workshops will be held at Tavi draugi’s warehouse every Tuesday and Thursday from 14:00 to 18:00 o’clock and every Saturday from 10.00 to 18.00 o’clock. Businesses and institutions are also welcome to participate. Larger groups should register for the above workshop times by contacting the association: [email protected].
“Mammamuntetiem.lv”, a parents’ organisation, has already joined the “Tavi draugi” campaign and is giving residents opportunity to make candles at the “Mammamuntetiem.lv” office at Brīvības iela 40 (in the courtyard building) in Riga. Candle workshops will be held there on 1st and 8 November. Workshop times: from 15.00 to 18.00 o'clock. Participants can bring empty, clean tins and candle stubs or paraffin wax - the rest will be provided. You can also bring your candles, which will then be delivered to the “Tavi draugi” storage.
