Valmiera will have a Christmas tree lighting event on November 27th, the first day of Advent.
The Sigulda Youth Wind Orchestra "Sudrabskaņa" (conducted by Elmārs Rudzītis and Arnis Šmitiņš) and the Sigulda Art School "Baltais flīģelis" Youth Choir (conducted by Solveiga Vītoliņa) will perform together in a concert on November 27 at 17.00 at the Valmiera Culture Center. The orchestra and choir have created a special Christmas concert for the Advent season, which includes both modern music and well-known Latvian and foreign popular pieces. The concert is free of charge.

After the concert, at 18.00, a Christmas tree lighting will take place in the city centre, at the front of the Valmiera Culture Centre, followed by a real miracle - the concert performance "Lollipop Story," in collaboration with the creative team "Fairy Tale House," will bring to life both the Gingerbread Man and the Mousse, as well as Waffle Girl and Chocolate Girl, who will help Lollipop understand who she truly wants to be.
During the tree lighting celebration, from 16.00 to 20.00, you will also be able to purchase a range of festive flavours - snacks, pastries, gingerbread, and hot drinks.
We want to share the miracle with you so now Christmas can start!
