Mr. Baranowski, a Canadian and Polish citizen educated in Toronto, brings over 20 years of experience in the hospitality and tourism industry, having held senior positions in international hotel chains. He is well-acquainted with the Baltic market, having successfully managed "Radisson Hotel Group" hotels in Vilnius and Tallinn for seven years.
Mr. Baranowski emphasizes that one of his focus areas will be fostering cooperation with Riga's tourism and hospitality associations and local government. He believes that increasing Riga's visibility is crucial for long-term growth: “I am eager to continue working on creating collaboration opportunities with various associations and the municipality to jointly increase tourist traffic to Riga. I am confident that Latvia's capital is an exceptional travel destination, surprising every tourist with its unique culture, people, and high standards of hotel services. I believe that together, we can make Riga one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe.”
As the new Cluster General Manager, Mr. Baranowski will oversee hotel operations, ensuring the highest service standards. “People are at the heart of the hotel business, which is why I believe in constant interaction between the hotel team and guests. My values are reflected in my daily work, characterized by a dynamic and democratic work environment where the manager works side by side with their team. Instead of the traditional office work model, I strive to find new solutions to enhance guest experiences and maintain high morale.”
One of the "Radisson Hotel Group's" core principles of responsible business is caring for the community. For example, every year during the month of responsible business, employees of "Radisson Blu Latvija Conference & Spa Hotel" and "Radisson Blu Elizabete Hotel" volunteer at a pop-up café to raise funds for SOS Children's Villages in Latvia. This year, 2,000 euros were raised in one week, which the hotels matched, donating a total of 4,000 euros to organize summer camps for SOS Children's Villages. Additionally, in May this year, the sales team of "Radisson Blu Latvija Conference & Spa Hotel" and "Radisson Blu Elizabete Hotel," along with more than 20 long-term partners, planted 2,500 pine trees over 1.33 hectares in the Latgale region, promoting forest regeneration and biodiversity conservation, thus demonstrating a commitment to environmental care and building a more sustainable future.
