First EQUIP SUP Self-Service Station in the Baltics in Ikšķile

In May (2024), in collaboration with the healthy and active lifestyle e-store @megango.com, the first EQUIP SUP self-service station in the Baltics was installed at Ikšķile Beach. Equip is a Swiss-based sports and active lifestyle startup offering tourism-enhancing SUP board and multisport self-service stations. Using the specially designed "Equip Sport" app, customers can easily rent and use the equipment, then return it to the storage station.

When planning a trip to Ikšķile or Ogre, be sure to include a visit to Ikšķile Beach and enjoy a SUP ride. All you need to do is download the Equip Sport app.

During the summer season, the station operates from 4:00 AM to 11:30 PM, allowing visitors to go on sunrise and sunset trips. Up to 6 SUP boards can be rented simultaneously. On busy days, when activity levels are higher, SUP boards can be reserved in advance for the desired day and time. The most popular route for a SUP ride is to visit the nearby Sv. Meinarda Island.

How to Use the EQUIP SPORT Station:
1. Download the Equip Sport app and register.
2. Choose one or more of the 6 SUP lockers and unlock it.
3. Take your SUP board, close the locker, and go for a ride.
4. Return, unlock the locker, and place the SUP board back.
5. Take a photo of the returned SUP set.
6. Close the locker and leave feedback!

Included in the set:
• 1 SUP board
• 1 paddle
• 2 life jackets (25-40 kg, 40+ kg)
• Waterproof bag
• Waterproof phone case

In June of this year, the first Equip multisport stations in the Baltics were installed in Vilnius and Kaunas. These stations allow residents of Vilnius and Kaunas to use various sports equipment for free. In Kaunas, next to the sports fields in Nemunas Island and Santakos Park, Equip stations offer equipment such as basketballs, volleyballs, and beach tennis rackets. In Vilnius, near the White Bridge, basketballs, volleyballs, as well as table tennis rackets and balls, can be used for free.
