PolarOaks, a company of four entrepreneurs from Latvia and Sweden, has created an innovative mobile application called "Plus One". The app is an interactive guide to Latvian nightlife, where users can find all the information they need on current entertainment and leisure venues, upcoming events, prices, table reservations, happy hours and much more, all in one place.

According to Oskars Millers, one of the founders of the company, who has been working in the entertainment and music industry and in marketing for years, Riga stands out in the Baltics for its high-level entertainment venues, delicious cocktails and great wine options. "The idea for the app came about simply - while looking for a good place in Latvia to relax and enjoy quality cocktails together with our Swedish partners. We realised at the time that Google was the main search tool and source, so we came up with the idea of developing a user-friendly nightlife guide. The Plus One mobile app brings together all of Riga's nightlife areas, making them easy to find and compare. With Plus One we want to revitalise Riga's nightlife, wake up the Old Town and make the experience - for both locals and visitors - better and more convenient."
In order to better navigate the Latvian nightlife and find the most suitable place for their needs and preferences, the mobile app offers users a selection of entertainment and leisure venues by category, such as bar, cocktail bar, nightclub, wine bar, etc., a description of the selected venue, photos, price level, contact information for table reservations, happy hour interactive map, age restriction information, a list of upcoming events, etc.
PolarOaks was founded with the aim of creating innovative digital products and is a collaboration between Oskars Millers, Kaspars Lukins, Daniel Sevborn, Kristians Benefelds. The company's core business is the development of mobile apps with custom design on a subscription basis, enabling small and medium-sized companies to modernise their business and implement a mobile app without a large investment. PolarOaks' first app, Nation Plus, has already been successfully launched in Sweden, where it has become the most popular student app in Uppsala, the largest student city.
