The Latvian national airline airBaltic is proud to announce that it has been recognized by the web-based service provider ch-aviation as the winner of the Europe's Third Youngest Aircraft Fleet Award 2025 with an average fleet age of 4.39 years. This marks the third consecutive year that airBaltic has been featured among airlines with Europe’s youngest fleets.
Martin Gauss, President and CEO of airBaltic: “We are proud to receive this recognition for the third year in a row. Since becoming the global launch operator of the Airbus A220-300 in 2016, this aircraft has been the backbone of our operations and a key driver of airBaltic’s success. Operating one of Europe’s youngest aircraft fleets enhances passenger comfort and elevates the experience for both travellers and our crew – a standard we take great pride in maintaining. Furthermore, with the recent addition of our 50th A220-300, we are now halfway toward our goal of operating a single-type fleet of 100 A220-300s by 2030."
