Pädaste Manor is one of 20 fine hotels worldwide recognized by this year's Grand Award by Andrew Harper. The award has been bestowed on only two hotels in the Nordic and Baltic region; Hotel Nimb in Copenhagen and Pädaste Manor in Estonia.
Andrew Harper's Hideaway Report is an independent monthly publication aimed at affluent and sophisticated travelers. For already 30 years, traveling incognito and always paying his own way, Andrew Harper and his team is recognized as the ultimate authority on luxury travel.
Each year, the Andrew Harper team recalls their travel experiences over the past 12 months and singles out a number of particularly enchanting hotels and resorts for special recognition: the Grand Award.
"To be considered for Hideaway Report's annual awards, properties must be relatively small in size and possess strong individual personalities. They are also required to have relaxing atmospheres and to demonstrate a consistent devotion to personal service." says Andrew Harper.
He adds: "Hotels are not evaluated solely by means of a checklist. Rather the jury relies on decades of experience and that intangible summary impression that separates the good from the truly enchanting. All our award winners offer the traveler comfort, warmth and charm, as well as a spirit of sincere hospitality."
"It's a great honour to us, that we have been presented in this prestigious list together with such great hotels as Ca' Sagredo in Venice, The Four Seasons Florence or the Hermitage bay in Antigua." says Martin Breuer, co-proprietor of Pädaste Manor.
Pädaste Manor on the island of Muhu is an island escape with a picturesque view to the sea. It's an innovator of modern Estonian cuisine, known for its natural spa treatments and set in unspoiled nature. Pädaste was the first Estonian hotel accepted in the prestigious collection of Small Luxury Hotels of the World. The newly renovated manor house of the estate opened in 2008 and offers the ultimate in luxury and sophistication in the Baltic hotel market.
Andrew Harper's Hideaway Report is distributed to 25.000 paying club members world wide.
