A new exhibition „It started with no roads...” opens at Riga Motor Museum in the beginning of April. The most famous off-road vehicles manufactured up to 90ties of the last century will be displayed.
In brief:
Since ages humans yearned to freedom, but there is not only one. We have many different – freedom of speech, freedom of thought, freedom of choice. The era of mechanics added one more – freedom of movement. A car provides it. Furthermore, an off-road vehicle even more broadens the horizon.
And it all started with no roads when the legendary Jeep was invented which did not actually require the roads.
For somebody an off-roader is a sort of a “badge” to show off, or universal means of transport, but for most of motorists it is an adventure.
Riga Motor Museum invites to know them better and visit the exhibition „It started with no roads…” There will be 13 worldwide legendary off-road vehicles on display, and some of them have already become the cult object attracting more and more attention of fans and interest of collectors. Willys, Land Rover, VW, Mercedes, Toyota will be represented there, as well as striking HORCH 901 manufactured in 1937!
