Star1 Airlines launches flights to Dublin

On 29 May, the Lithuanian low-cost carrier Star1 Airlines launches direct flights from Vilnius to Dublin. In summer season flights shall be operated on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays; the route shall be continued during winter season as well.

According to Martynas Laivys, the head of Star1 Airlines, the route between the capitals of Lithuania and Ireland gained popularity last summer when the company carried over 8000 passengers and the average flight load in August reached 85%.

„There is a big community of Lithuanians living in Ireland and its capital city Dublin in particular, and this route is of high importance and convenience for them. Since there is interest from clients we shall extend Vilnius – Dublin - Vilnius connection not just for summer, but for winter season as well”, - says M. Laivys.

The flight from Vilnius to Dublin airport shall take around 3 hours.
