The novelty of this year’s resort season is a new cabaret style* show “The Story of a Promenade” staged in Hotel Jūrmala Spa restaurant Jūrmala.
Since the popular 80’s cabaret show in Jūrmala was reborn in February of 2012 at Hotel Jūrmala Spa, it has attracted huge interest of the inhabitants of Jūrmala, the people of Latvia and visitors to the country.
The main aim of Hotel Jūrmala Spa in staging the cabaret show is to widen the entertainment options in Jūrmala.
This year it is a brand new and contemporary show programme “The Story of a Promenade” in two parts with the participation of attractive and professional artists to entertain the hotel guests and Jūrmala visitors with an exquisite and elegant dance show, colourful dresses and resonant vocals accompanied by live music.
The vocal artist of the show and the actor playing the leading role of the cabaret story is Daumants Kalniņš, remembered by many for his resounding soprano at the Riga Dom Boys Choir, and now a talented jazz singer, oboe virtuoso and a promising actor in musicals.
“The Story of a Promenade” is a story of a man’s life experience presented through music and dance. A story of a man who has felt the sweet touch of happiness and the cold wind of pain. A man dragged into the wild mystery of dance reflecting his life like a mirror. Dance is a movement and the movement is life. It is a story about the values of life and what is there to be cherished and never let go.
The guests will experience and enjoy the true wonder of cabaret with live music, masculine vocals and the fiery movements of male and female dancers. The magic of freedom offered exclusively through dance, with the air electrified by passionate emotions provoking the imagination and creating an illusion of fulfilment of all secret desires!
