Polet Airlines is to launch direct flights to Vilnius from Saint
Petersburg on 4 November this year. The second largest city of Russia
will become 44th airport and 36th city accessible from Vilnius by
regular flights. Flights will be operated twice a week – on Mondays and
Fridays by aircraft SAAB 2000 with 50 passenger seats.
The plane will take off from Saint Petersburg Pulkovo Airport at 9.50
and land in Vilnius at 10.20. The aircraft will depart from Vilnius at
11.35 (local time of Vilnius and Saint Petersburg respectively). A
1.5-hour flight ticket will cost almost as much as a train ticket when
travelling in a compartment.
